Privacy policy
Written to describe what actually happens. A policy that describes data you do not collect is worse than none, because it is a false statement to your users.
Draft — review before launch
This document describes what the service actually does, which is the part a template cannot supply. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Have an Indian advocate review it before launch, and in particular before any paid plan goes live.
What is collected today
The free almanac pages require no account and set no tracking cookie. They are static pages; visiting one stores nothing about you beyond what your browser sends in the ordinary course of making a request, and whatever your host records in its access logs.
This section must be rewritten the moment accounts are introduced. At that point it will need to state exactly what is stored — email address, hashed password, plan status — and for how long.
Preferences stored in your browser
Your language and colour theme are stored in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device and are not readable by us.
Broker credentials
If you connect a broker, the API credentials and access token are held in the server's memory for the life of your session and are never written to disk, never sent to your browser and never logged. Your browser receives only an opaque session cookie.
The core product does not require a broker connection; prices come from published exchange data.
What is never done
Your data is not sold. It is not shared with advertisers. No third-party analytics or advertising trackers are embedded in the pages.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 you may request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data. Once accounts exist, this section must name the process and the contact point for such requests, and the grievance officer the Act requires.
